Blade: Joola Chen Weixing
FH: Tenergy 05 black 2,1
BH: Dtechs red 0.5
I play an modern defender style.
I have played with Joola Chen weixing blade for the last 5-6 years but find it too hard and fast for blocking.
I am going towards ox pips, in order to add blocking to my game, i find lp blocking with sponge non effective.
Which oversized blade would you recommend for chopping and counter attacking, it needs to be more controlled the CW.
I have tried Defplay, but find it way too flexy.

Which blades would you recommend ?

Blade: Nittaku: Shake Defense
FH: Andro: Rasanter R48 1.7
BH: Spinlord: Leviathan 1A ox
The Nittaku Shake Defense is an excellent oversized blocking blade but also has a bit of flex. The Sauer and Troger Zeus is a bit stiffer and faster then NSD. The Zeus blade is good for all round long pimple style.

Blade: Sanwei F3 Pro (=TB ALC)
FH: Tibhar MX-D max
BH: Hellfire X/Dtecs ox
I have played also with same kombination for years as you, with ox or sponge in the BH. :D I have also played with Tenergy and Dtecs 0.5. Dtecs is quite good, but maybe the Troublemaker ox is even better. Not very fast with blocking.

I also tried to change to other def blades many times, but time after time CWX-blade feeled clearly the best. As you said, Defplay feels too flexy, Matsushita pro is a slow and not perfect with ox pips. JSH blade was heavy and not ideal for ox play. Spinlord Ultra carbon def is quite good, but overall too stiff for my FH. Previous commenters brought out some alternatives to try. I haven't tried Nittaku, but friend has Victas blade, which might work.
