Deb of all the reviews I've read I can't recall any on this blade. I have read on the K-2 and K-4 and I have a K-3 and there is quite a difference in characteristics of these 3. So I assume the K-1 is something else again. What the K's do have in common is a softer feel to normal carbon. While the K-3 does have a softer feel to the arylate carbon blade I had, the feel is not as "rich" as I would say my all wood Hk is. As far as I know the K-1 is a faster blade than the K-3. The K-4 is faster than the K-3 too though. Sorry I can't give any specifics about the K-1.

hollow handles suck... but i thought k series doesn't have hollow handle. k-1 does???

i thought jkc would comment on this since he claimed to have played k-5. and also t-4...

I heard someone from galaxy saying they might reclassify T-4 into a new series ... calling it Galaxy yin he JKC-4 :)

I actually have 2 K-1's, they are quite good looping blades, make a nice deep thud sound when you hit the ball. Very slow though, Galaxy call it a 10 for speed, I would give it 7 or 8 only. It is not a blade I could ever use since glue was banned. Got annoyed with the vibration (sadly just after I had ordered a second one) and stopped using it. Pretty good control mostly because it is so slow.

Not sure where you read I had used a K-5, I was probably just passing on the urban myth about it being similar to a Maze or a TBS or whichever? Don't know if that is true either.

My K-1's have an identical cross-section to a friends Michael Maze, but I don't know if the woods are the same. The K-1 does have a hollow handle.

So I take it the K-1 is slower than K-5, which probably means slower then K-4 too. I wonder how it compares with K-3. Much slower than T-4 then JKC?

Much slower than a T-4, I haven't tried any other K's.
