I think it's faster because of a firmer sponge. I have not tried this rubber for several years, so I can't remember too well... but don't expect euro-type fast from this rubber...

Skippy once told me it was a bit like Transcend SP and I would like it, but I never did try it.

I wonder where Skippy is now?

I have been experimenting with LiQin for a few weeks now, as a potential substitute for H2 commercial. The problem is that it does not play like H2, the sponge is softer, so it looses some properties that I like, especially counter hitting. *However* it has some very good properties of its own. The last red sheet I got was a lot spinnier than H2 (which is a feat as I found H2 to be already very spinny) and also quite a bit faster. This was on an Instinct blade. So I tried it on a DE-1 blade which is meant to be a little slower. I like this combination but haven't played enough with it to really comment. DE-1 is meant to be DEF blade but with the LIQIN on the FH it seemed more off an OFF blade but with more control than my Instinct. (Very strange... in a good way. Brush loops were effortless with a lot of control. Pushes were very controlled as well.)
I will try this combo again tomorrow, but I think the LIQIN needs the right blade to trully shine (or the right technique ;-)

JKC and Haggisv, Skippy has made a couple of posts on Rob's forum a few months ago. He disappeared as he was depressed about his club closing, but he was trying to get a new club going I think on some Tennis courts. JKC, you actually replied to his post lol. That was last mid-December though. Nothing from him since then.

JKC, what's the SP Transcend like to play with?

I never really used a sheet of SP which hadn't been previously glued or tuned (and probably spinmaxed a few times too), so I can't give you details on how a new sheet would play straight out of the pack. It was a very spinny high throw rubber though with good speed and control The surface lasted well, but I did have problems with cracking and breaking pimples behind the topsheet (as I did with Higher too) but this was maybe due to glue and overstretching as much as anything. I just wish that Jupiter had been around in the glue era.
