I'm sorry we are not meeting your high expectations. It's obviously very easy to teleport to this guy's training hall and inspect his paddle, even though we pretty much never heard of him until two weeks ago, and he also happens to be from Iran(!) and not New York.

Also, large number of us probably don't give a damn about his exact brand of LP.

Maybe this will satisfy your curiosity? : https://www.tabletennistransfers.com/en ... abbasi/869

Btw, he has a strong fh,.... pips are just used to set up his strategy,.... hence, pips do not give points by themselves, at least at high levels ,....

Hi Blekitt, Do you know is he still using Acuda on a Primorac for his FH? I really like the way he plays. Thanks!

He is playing a tournament in Sweden right now (like the Challanger series), with these players:

Amirreza Abbasi (IRI)
Mathieu De Saintilan (FRA)
Martin Buch (DEN)
Jonatan McDonald (SWE)
Daniel Lindsö (SWE)
Casper Strindberg (SWE)
Anton Andersson (SWE)
Simon Berglund (SWE)

I guess there may be some videos later... Anton Andersson plays SP on both sides I think. Mathieu is a very good defender.

It would be very nice if any moderator could move this thread to the video section, so that more viewers can find it.

He was playing in Germany, Challanger series, recently:

WOW....just wow. This is why this forum is so so good. Thank you so much for this find (bump on the thread). It has been a pleasure to watch this guy play. His at the table chop block is lovely to watch, it's quite similar to Manika Batra but it's difficult to see sometimes due to angles. He doesn't quite stand at the table though like Manika, he is almost always 1 or 2 steps back. I wonder if its to compensate for the men's game etc :?:

I'll post 1 vid that hasn't been posted yet which has a fantastic angle!

His ox technique looks very similar to playing with antispin. Also I like his forehand Koki Niwa's style chop block.
Here is another great video of him plying against Felix Wetzel in Tischtennis Herren Bundesliga:

I thought he was an anti player until I read through the comments here. Not my favorite style of play but what a player!

A few new clips from the austrian Bundesliga club team matches. Abbasi achieved a 19:6 record in the 21/22 season.
The links below the embedded yt-clips are the direct links to the matches. The matches are unedited. The only names that I recognize as "well-known" are Konecny (previous WR=60), Didukh (previous wr=88) and of course Chen Weixing. I may add a few more clips.

/edit: the bbcode doesn't seem to like the yt-links. Crikey! :^)

Also check out this yt-channel and search for "Abbasi"
