I used to use Sanwei Target National. It is super-tacky and mid-fast rubber almost like Palio Thors. But Target National topsheet is very susceptible to damage ( dont use towel/sponge/cloth to wipe the topsheet! ) and the rubber degraded within 6 months for me. I had to take it off to boost heavily with Falco to get it back on the blade and restore most of the speed.

never used palio thors

how is STN like compared to a 729FX? is a 39 degrees hard STN similar in hardness to a 42 degrees hard 729FX?

i've heard of the topsheet being marked easily but i heard that it doesn't effect performance

yogi_bear's review of the ST90 on TTD really had me dreaming about the rubber :P

SuperFX is more control and less speed and less spin compared to STN. 729 SuperFX is for boosting... if you haven't figured it out by now. Ppl can use 729SFX without boost but you are going to be hitting hammer and tongs to get up the speed :-P

STN is already factory-boosted so that will have to be boosted later.

Palio Thors is like Euro rubber but with tacky/sticky topsheet. Maintenance is key. Palio Thors rubber is a pain to cut crumbles a lot.

Try the FX with the large pore sponge. Quite a bit faster. And you can boost it, too. And you can get it as thin as 1.0mm sponge-wise (I don't think you can with regular FX).
