Hey guys can someone give me some advise 8)

Looking for an ANTI rubber of GlAnti rubber with these characteristics:

- Good short blocks loaded with good backspin
- For a blocking game close to table / sometimes chopping
- A good reserve grip (not a lot) for attacking backspin (topspin stroke)
- Good control, but fast enough for attacks

My blade is Off-

Maybe something from Der Materialspezialist or Dr Neubauer, something else ?

I played Der Materialspezialist Diabolic 1.6 mm
Good for attacking backspin, but blocks may have been shorter and maybe a little bit more backspin.
Maybe it was because it was 1.6...

I have played a lot with Nittaku Best Anti 1.8 mm. I like it a lot a very good allround Anti rubber for attacking and defense. Good reserve grip. But looking for a little bit more disruption and shorter blocks. It is more my style this Anti rubber.

Just wanted to try something new in Anti of GlAnti
Nowadays I play LP or MP

Thx for the advise ;)

You’ll need to determine what is a suitable compromise for you. You won’t get any spin continuation (backspin) when blocking with classic anti. On the other hand they are better for attacking than GlAnti.

A couple of weeks ago, I played against a player using DMS Transformer (If I remember correctly, he said 1.5mm) ... some really sick short returns, loaded with backspin ... Infact, after that day, I've been mulling over trying an Anti ... just for shits-n-giggles...

First of all, Anti (especially slick anti) are very bad for chopping.
If you want a disruptive effect when blocking, go for a slick anti. The more slick is the anti, the more disruptive effect you'll get.
You need to watch out for the thickness of the sponge also. More thickness = slower = less disruptive effect.
If you liked the Transformer, I'd suggest you to check the DMS Scandal also.
