hello,

I am a modern defence player (TSP Curl p1r) but I am thinking in change to OX long pips (disruptive).
I have tried OX in my current blade (Butterfly Defence Pro) but I don´t liked.

what kind of blade is suitable for OX long pips for disruptive play?
- stiff or not?
- size?
- other features?

I don´t like the blades with carbon, with balsa, or very stiff.
I have read that many people play with Dr Neubauer Matador (or similar) or balsa blades.
I am thinking in Thibar Grass Dtecs OX but I admit to other options.

regards

Blade: Grubba All +
FH: Marder 1.8
BH: Virus-2 0.5
5 ply wood from def to all +.The stiffer the blade , the better. The harder, the worse.

Also, fh rubber does make an impact on the performance of the pips.

Just do this test : same blade, same pips and on the fh glue marder in 1.5 / 1.8 ; then, change the rubber to a tensor like Secret Flow chop or Moristo def.You will see the pips gaining speed with the tensor rubber, you will notice a decrease in speed and an increase in control with Marder.

Magical hat!! :)

Hi scdit46,

How bout Donic Defplay Senso V3? Or, if you want something stiffer and faster, then Victas Koji Mastsushita Off. Both work pretty well if D.tecs.

Blade: Joola CWX
FH: S&T Secret Flow 2.1
BH: Troublemaker ox
I play now with Sauer & Tröger Unicorn blade. It's made for ox pips play. It's a 5 ply wood blade with allround speed and very easy to play with ox pips. It has low throw angle, "right" speed, unsensitive to spin, disturbing and good to chop also. I think that compared to balsa and carbon blades control is way better, so you can play active moves more easily.

I have tested lot of blades and ox pips. Joola CWX blade with Troublemaker pips used to be my main blade, it has much higher throw and it's slower. It's good also, but not as dangerous as Unicorn with Hellfire X.

Blade: S&T Black & White
FH: Rasanter R42 2mm
BH: Spinlord Keiler 1.2mm
A key first decision is the size and weight of the blade you want to use. Remember that oversized blades require larger rubbers which adds to overall weight.
