A friend of mine is a chopper attacking and is also atracking
With Dtechs at the table.

He is ising Dtechs 0,5 red.

He would like to know if treating his LP ( reducing friction )
Would screw up the ability to chop Well ?

If not, how would the ability to hit Well be affected ?

Has any choppers here any experience with this ?

What does he hope to gain?

With less friction it is harder to hit the ball -- unless you are receiving back spin.

It makes you be both more passive and more aggressive. More passive against top spin, but more aggressive against back spin balls. It is also harder to hit no-spin balls with lower friction.

Chopping wise, it would give him more passive reversal and "funk" as they say. He'd be losing some ability to alter the spin. So it depends... is his chopping merely for consistency and control? Or is he actively CHANGING spins? I'd assume anyone using d.tecs is not attempting to affect the spin too much, since the grip is so low. That being the case, the question becomes... can he handle the dead balls well enough to keep them low and not be slammed through?

Thanks for your reply.
He Will not like that deadball becomes more difficult to handle.
He might just stay where he is.
