What if XiYing 979-Pogo-Haifu Whale...... got their renewal fee paid?

Could we use our old rubbers for competition again? or if they made a slight variation in the name, like Sword Scylla III,we would not be able to use them , right ?

I think (and I may be wrong here) but as long as it had the same approval code that the old rubbers would be ok. On each sheet of rubber at the bottom you'll see the rubber's "code" in the ITTF system.
