yesterday i tried this for the first time.
Desperado reloaded green OX as bh on a Barricade DEF blade with dr neubauer defence master as inverted rubber on the fh.

First thoughts, compared to what I'm used from the Palio CK531a:

Blocking:
- Passive blocks don't seem to do much, need to close the blade a bit more than with palio. But troubles keeping blocks short
- Active blocks are a weapon. Ball dives low with plenty of reversal. Pretty easy to do unlike Palio where active blocking was error phrone.
- Chop blocks produce plenty of backspin and also a low trajectory.
- Hard to block the ball short in my opinion

Pushing
- It's absolutely great at active pushes. Great control to
- Can produce very surprising and fast push attacks, ball sinks and low trajectory.
- A bit on the fast side compared to Palio. Reminds me of Dtecs...

Chopping
- I'm not really a chopper but it feels okay and produces plenty of backspin.
- Balls do tend to go long but that might be my technique as im not used to chopping regularly

attacking
- I don't think I've ever played a LP where it was so easy to attack with.
- attacking no spin, backspin very good to do almost like a normal inverted stroke but with the blade more open.
- killing higher balls was no problem, with Palio CK531A this was very hard. Here it feels normal.
- speed is surprisingly hall and ball dives low

Overall I feel this rubber rewards active play with LP. It can do passive block but it's not a wonder with it. Better to chop block or even active block. Even counter attacking worked sometimes which I've never been able to do with LP, and I've played with many now.

Passive blocking well was one of my main strengths though so I'm not sure if I want the trade off. I'll need more training sessions and maybe some practice matches to make up my mind.

Thanks for the precise review. A lot of interesting information here. One question: did you try this rubber in other blades. I’m curious how it behave in blades faster and slower.

Again thank you

probably would produce even more tricky blocks and pushes on a faster blade with the speed. But for me that would become uncontrollable as I'm used to a slow setup.

Thanks for you answer.

And, from you experience, better to use it in a Texa Carbon or in a Texa Balsa? And compared with Trouble Maker how do you think it works?

Thanks.

couldnt tell you, never played with those blades. Did play with world champion carbon which was already too quick

Anyway. tried another match yesterday. Blocking was much better now. And aggresively pushing with this rubber is easy and sooo good
I did lose both matches in 2-3(one with 11-9 last game, other in 12-10 last game being 10-8 in front), but that wasnt due to the rubber.. just unlucky. One opponent was a LP player as well. Other an attacker. Both were patient which made me a bit unpatient at time. More patience and I'd have won

Every day I am more satisfied with the combination Matador Texa Carbon and Desperado Reloaded OX from Dr. Neubauer. It's able to control smooth and precise touches with explosive attacks: Beauty and the Beast. You may think that the boy is a simple child...but nothing could be further from the truth, the boy is an extraordinary player capable of standing up to anyone in that league and I lost the match. What happens is that my strategy is not to let him play his game. Here we can see a video with a teammate from Sweden: https://youtu.be/zWaoAKBTw70?si=xZPGabCY8Ufm6tPn And here with the player with the best score in our league: https://youtu.be/Sy2ly1M-wSQ?si=7yx5g8fKlBwCIPB8

Amazing, you are playing each time better and better. So inspiring your videos and really well played against such an active player.

One question: which rubber were you using in the FH?

Regards

Thank you, but I lost the match 3-2 here is the complete vídeo: https://youtu.be/D-TFNCeCzxg?si=cHqbSAP9i-OOKAiv
I used Gewo Proton Neo 450 black max, it has a beautiful sound...medium sponge and soft top sheet. I have a spare Matador Texa Carbon with SpinLord Leviathan 1b versión OX red and Friendship Battle II Provincial blue sponge black 39º with 2 layers of Haifu booster.

Amazing, what about Battle 2 compared with Gewo?

Gewo is a soft tensor and Battle 2 is a chinese hard rubber but softer with booster. Battle is better for loop and faster if you do it correctly and Gewo is more bouncy, more forgiving a little slower for looping but best for smashing (best, not faster). Both are good for spiny service but with Battle you can do them short and spiny and that is good against the loopers who likes to wait the ball outside the table. I can play well with both.
