Given the pitiful circumstances caused by the biased ITTF, which gives more reversal under the current regulations >> the pip or the blade?

In my experience,100% the blade as I tested the same pip on different blades and some blades CLEARLY enhanced the poor performance of the pip.

Very good blades for pip blocking >>> dms The wall ,Sanwei LD carbon,DR.Neubauer Matador texa carbon,Grubba all round plus ,Stiga all round classic,NSD. obviously you can add many more to the list.

For Chopping the best one I tested >> Victas K. Matsushita Def

Therefore,if you use an expensive pip, better be careful which blade you choose. The pip will surely perform even worse on the wrong blade as its performance is already diminished by the restrictions imposed by our ^ friends^ from the ITTF .

As for Flantis, the blade is paramount as well , even on classic antis. Thus, imo the blade is key in the currrent TT . No wonder the pros get the bats customized.Especially, the blade and the rubber , if tweaked,is modified on the back. which is PRECISELY, where the ^ expert^ inspectors do not delve into !!!......this is a joke of sport,.... but I still got some passion left .

Absolutely, you'll get no argument from me on this.
The difficult trade-off that LP players face is that the blade also needs to help take the pace off the ball, and also needs to provide the necessary performance for the rubber on the other side.

Of course but my reasoning is because the current pips are so , so scandalously poor that if you do not choose a very good blade , the results will be even worse.

With a good blade that enhances the pip performance you can at least compete better.

The same goes for antis.

The blade has always been the most important thing in TT in my opinion.I just reiterate that at present , it is even more vital to choose a good blade and specially , a good fh side that DOES NOT affect negatively the pip performance.

It was surprising to me how well the Stiga Cybershape Carbon worked with the Hellfire X in OX. With pips that are very grippy, it was an excellent combination. This blade also works really well with glanti.

Yes I agree. Different people/styles require difference performance though. For purely reversal the harder/faster blades tend to work best, for braking-effect balsa or slower blades tend to work best, for chopping softer blades tend to work well, for attacking you need something in between. On top of that you need to find something that works well with the rubber on the other side. Very complicated!

No wonder at all. A china factory offers a special service for customers that an extra layer of textile material attached to OX rubbers, available for bulk orders over 500 pcs. Do you remember those unshrinkable rubber sheets with textile underneath to ease your life so much?
