what short pimple for me?
I want to try a short pimple
my game is about backspin and hard hitting the loose balls
I just want to try a cheaper Chinese rubber for now
and have the 802-40, 802 with thicker sponges and globe 889-2 in a 1.6 in front of me

I need it to be good for spin serves and not too weak
and be able to top spin when needed

I think tose two are quite similar but 889-2 is more like spinpips (look at this review: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=27272 ). 802 is not as spinny as the other 2 you mentioned but you can produce lots of back spin when pushing. Also look at Spinlords Degu II, not too expensive and somewhere between 802 and 889-2 gripwise I think. I think 802 (and the others) plays quite different with thinner sponge... Start with 889-2.

agree w 889-2. if you are playing underspin the thicker sponge (max or 2.2) does not work well. 1.6 should be better.
