I need to when you guys know when to change your beloved short pip.

I guess when it loses grip? How long on average does a Sp last? Let's say you practise 3/4 times per week .

Thanks

It may depend upon what type of short pips one is using. I have put over 100 hours on my Moristo SP, and from both closely inspecting the pips and judging from how it plays, I don't see any difference in play since I first put it on. I have some Winning NP-8 from the small ball era, that still looks and plays like it is almost new. The pips on my banned, TSP spin pips appear to have hardened up slightly.

I think that depends on FH or BH. It will be more sensitive for FH. If the frequent hitting area has obviously different grip to other area, I would like to replace it.

I think at least once a year would be reasonable for most non-pro players. I wonder how often Mattias Falck changes his short pips?
