Referring here to horizontally vs vertically-oriented pip rows and columns, are there any ITTF approved SPs with non-directional pip arrangements?

I ask because I've found that blocking spinnier shots with SP is too dependent on racket rotation, i.e. pip alignment against the incoming ball, and what works well against incoming topspin often fails miserably with side-top, with the blocked ball falling far short of its intended trajectory.

I doubt that pips alignment matter much if at all. When one blocks deep BH side the racket top is parallel to the table, when blocking out of elbow position the racket is perpendicular. Never thought much about the difference and never noticed anything special about pips orientation.

Placement of the pips-out must be standartized in accordance to T2 tech specifications.

Be happy.
