We all lose mobility as we get older, and some players have limited mobility and speed for other reasons as well.

Obviously this will restrict the type of strokes and strategies that can be taught.

Anyone can learn a loop for example... but if the player can rarely get themselves into position, nor have the mobility to put their body into it and with correct footwork, the loops will not likely be high quality or consistent.

So my questions is, what do you teach players with limited mobility, and what type of strategy is effective for these people so that they can still be competitive against the more mobile players?

Teach them to have fun first then go from there. As with older beginners leave it a bit up to them.

I forgot about that... that is indeed an excellent post! I've stickied it.
