I've played cpen last friday with a cheap 20$ racket which i cut the handle and change the rubber to let a gap, I really loved it.

I bought an old JUIC Z.Kalinic cpen blade for 5$ from a member at my club and it still looking good.

I bought cheap rubbers to try it, 729 Cream Transcend and 729 802-40 Short Pips, any though on this setup and the blade?

I've only seen the shakehand version of this blade, and it does look a little different so the blade may have changed, but it's quite a good allround blade (around OFF- in speed), and should work fine with those rubbers.

Ok thanks, there was some glue dried on one side but with a little acetone it went off easily.

I don't twiddle really but i figured having two rubbers to try could help to find a good match for me.

Why so? I guess RPB isn't a consideration with pips. :)

I'm not even sure why i'm trying SP but if i don't like it i'll change for another backside.

hehe, i'll use it for the fh anyway and see if i like it.

With my cut handle shakehand cheap premade racket (that was a long description), i had a LP on one side which i didn't remove since i planed to do TBH and play only with the 729 Cream Transcend i put on it. It was the first time i would really try penhold for at least a couple of hours. Last monday, i used the Cream Transcend a while on my BH to try some RBP and it was way easier than i anticipated. I don't curl my fingers much now so it helps. So i removed the LP and put a Donic coppa tenero i had on another racket and i'll try this setup tonight.

Sadly none of my rubbers fit the Kalinic blade since the head is larger than my shakehand rackets. I have to wait for the rubbers i bought to be able to try it.

I played with the Kalinic blade with the 802-40 and the Cream Transcend rubber and the 802-40 feel like it has more grip and is definitely faster.
