To get spectators involved more, should table-tennis use 3 panel judges style points like gymnastics or figure-skating or slam dunk like in NBA competitions or like awarding a Ms.Congeniality in a beauty pageant (though you may suck and lose the match but win congeniality points) ? Also handout spectators signs like numbers 1 thru 10. That way if you are smooth graceful lobber or chopper the crowd waves all 8 thru 10s but if you are an ugly frictionless blocker you get 1s and 2s.

Maybe the crowd can also rate based on many categories : stroke beauty as well as physical beauty of the player or how fashionable their clothing, racket etc is etc etc ( Ms.Bernadette Szocs used a purple rubber & she seems very fashion conscious ) ?

I am only aware that she used a pink rubber.
