our season started this weekend..after having been forced to stop in the middle of the last season due to achilles tendonitis and a painful sport injury on my back, i enjoyed several months in good health..sadly, the back-injury came back a few days ago :punch: :punch: :punch: :punch: :@ :@ :@ :@ and it didnt seem probable that i would be able to play..after receiving several injections and a rather risky dosage of painkillers on the day of the competition, i played this weekend, won a singles game and a double before i got the chance to play william maybanks (former british national player, i believe)..the medication really got to me in terms of stamina and concentration, so i guess it was the best i could make out of the situation and look forward to play in good health again very soon |( :muscle: ..i decided to upload this because there are nice rallies non the less!

New time period with Beast, Spinparasite and of corse Amir in the blocking style after BAN. This video was very impressive. Nice to see Amir's backhand attackings, forehand smashes. I loved the low trajectory of Spinparasite.

Amir,
I realize that my opponents become better and better against me with the time. For example, i beat someone with 3-0 very easy first time, but after a couple of matches, he understand my game better, and score is tight (3-2 for me or for him). Also, I find that i have better score against unknown player than my teammate (which are better that me because we practice all day together and they know how my anti and short pips work. Do you have the same problem? Give me some advice.....?

Thank you,
Martin

thanks for the compliment! ;)

according to my experience, it is clear that players that use anti/long pimples effectively, always have an advantage against players that they havent played against before, as there is the element of surprise, as this style will be unusual to them. if someone, like your teammate gains experience, this advantage will evaporate with time. but if your game is good and consistant enough, you will be able to beat those players. you should try to do additional effective things (such as twiddling for e.g) that they are not familiar with to throw them off additionally.

on the same day of the video for e.g, i played my former teammate of 5 years. he basically knew me best of all players an so i was very happy and proud to have won 3:2 against him despite my injury. he definitely had an advantage in contrast to the other players as he was familiar to my style, but if i manage to block consitantly and managed to attack whenever the opportunity presented itself after 1-2 of my blocks, then there was little he could do.

Considering your injuries and the medication you are on, a fantastic performance AA. Very well played and a good win. Another enjoyable & inspiring video from you for this forum.

Very nice video Amir with good camera angle and zoom. Amir, have you ever tried to play forehand strokes more, especially (fake) forehand topspin. I realize that my opponent have big problem with my forehand topspin because they mean that there is a lot of spin, and put the ball in the bottom of the net with their block :D :D ......i mean as surprise....
