TT-total.tv has posted a video of Sebastian Sauer in action (it's a few years old, but I had never seen it). Great stuff.

Thanks for these awesome 2 old vids! That´s what I call perfect frictionless style! Wish Sebastian will be back soon at that level with his new pips!

Great vids!
I think Sebastians BH is not his strongest weapon! The FH strokes are great!
Sebastian will play this season in "Sachsen Döbeln". This is the third German league (Regionalliga).

He had a great frictionless game, definetely one of the best but I would not put him at the same level as Fabian Akerstrom.. Fabian was in my opinion the best frictionless player ever.. Sebastian might come in 2nd...

I think you have to notice that not all `frictionless` players are listed here with a video :)
Especially in the WTTV (in Germany) are some strong players with anti or pimples, who are playing near the table.
Sebastians vids are great! I hope he´s playing a great season in Döbeln.

A lot of years ago (I think 4 years in the past) there was a player called Bernd Hasenkopf.
Now he playes `only` in Germany´s 5th league.
In the past he played in the third league and had some great results! He has beaten the strongest player in this league in the first pair cross. (Michael Baron).

His stuff was:

Nittaku Shake DEF
FH: Butterfly Bryce
BH: Hallmark Original

There's a player here in the U.S. called Robert Shahnazari. He went up to a 2400 rating lately and he played Hallmark Original as the USATT forgot to remove it from their approved rubber list... Now they removed it and his rating is dropping like crazy.. I hope that he will be able to get back to his old performance level with his new equipment.. US 2400 level is compareable with strong German Oberliga or weak 2. Bundesliga..
Robert has a impressive game but it's tailored around frictionless pips.. It's sad to see such impressive player drop so badly in rating.. The new pips friction rule is the most unfair rule ever, targeted to eliminate a certain style...

In the Sebastian's training video, did he play with FLP or anti-spin? Does anyone know?
Thanks.

It was a rubber called TTMaster Swing Back I Friction. Not an FLP but it was later banned by the ITTF anyway and the company subsequently went out of business. :(

Too bad, I guess Sebastian's level of play has dropped because of the equipment ban.
I really liked the way he can attack (both top and under spin) aggressively; and also the way he can return service with an aggressive drop shot.
I just wonder whether his style can be replicated using anti-spin.....?

He´s unbeaten (12:0) in 12/13. His team is top of the table in Oberliga RH/R.

May I ask which rubber he is using on his BH now?
Thanks.

Still something frictionless... he more or less openly uses them cause he is protesting against the ban, at least that it's what I heard. He has his own shop for manipulated pimples.
