That's a nice clip! I can really relate to this guy, I play both my FH and BH like his, but unfortunately nowhere near the level

He gets a LOT of backspin on some of his chops... so it makes me wonder what he uses? He wears a BTY shirt, so they are like to be BTY rubbers...

According to the french TT forum, he uses feint long II 1.1mm on BH and a tackifire drive on FH on a .....Petr Korbel blade.
He's good for sure, but there is not one single shot that Joo se huyk doesn't do better.
He's playing for Metz till the end of the year and has signed at pontoise for next year. He's unanimosly appreciated for his good spirit, his spectacular game and his dedication to his club.

I saw matches of this guy awhile back. Love the way he plays, one of the few choppers that I can relate to. By that I mean that its easier to emulate/learn his game compared to say joo or chen which are almost impossible to replicate.

His big swinging FH I have but the BH I'm still nowhere near. Amazing he can chop so heavy for the FL2 1.1mm. Metal Monkey had that awhile back and we both thought it was terrible.

he always does the backhand serve and when schlager returnes it, it sometimes goes into the net so it has to be a very heavy backspin serve(he's serving with his lp) so i think that's weird. In some parts of the video, you can see the backhgand rubber (black) is shiny like inverted. :? :?

I'm pretty sure he doesn.t chop with inverted but maby my eyes are going weird

:D :D

I thought the same thing when I tried it. Good control, but I just couldn't get enough spin when chopping...

Thanks for putting up this vid suplazza. I've been looking for more videos of him, but I hadn't seen any for a while. And yes, he does serve with his long pips...just goes to show that lp's can be more versatile than many people think :) Just ask BH to see his serving vid with long pips--you'd be surprised at how much spin you can get with good technique.

I play FL II, too and you can create LOTS of underspin.
The Technique is very important with FL II.

Big surprise, Gionis just beat the crap off Samsonov & Chtchetinne today at WTTTC, and that was a 3-2 win for Greece over Belarus.

Man, I want that video!
