Hey guy's,

Just putting up a video, sometimes people ask "how to seperate the top sheet from sponge?".

So I made a video of me removing the 1mm sponge off the top sheet.
No commentating though.

Image

It really doesn't matter if the rubber is old or new...

Firstly you need to iron the sponge top sheet down, over sponge with a damp wet cloth, iron near to maximum setting for a short while, 3-5 seconds at a time. This is too soften up the glue that is bonding the sheets together.

After which is the hardest part is to get the corner of the rubber and try dig a piece with your finger nails to get a small piece to lift off... after you get a piece you have too try pull apart the sponge, if it is hardening up you will find that's it's harder and you feel tension. so you can stop and try ironing the sponge again.

Try do it slowley, bit by bit at a time.....

Hope this helps you guys!!!!

When I did this, I put the towel over the pips, not the sponge. It worked. Think it might ruin some kinds of pips that way? The 755 was real hard to get apart. I had it so hot, it burned my fingers and still was hard to separate. Had to do sections at a time.

If you try a pips sheet and do not like it, you can pull the sponge off and try it OX. Thats what I was doing. :D

Sometimes when we try out new pimples, we might find it either to fast or slow, so we can switch sponges. And with the water based glues its easier to reattach the 2 together.
For me after im done with the pimples I remove it and keep the one thats still good.

Thanks for the replies guys!

Yeah trying hard not to say anything though I guess I could of commentated, maybe next time

Great first step on custom making your own sheets. If you like a topsheet, slap on your favorite sponge next. :D

When I get my sponges and topsheets in, I'll try to make a video of attaching a topsheet to a sponge to complement MM's video! :D
