When the ittf certify rubbers pass the friction rule, do they test both red and black versions of the rubber or is it random or what?

Why i ask is that it is generally accepted that most black versions have more friction due to the colour additives, so, could they pass a black rubber but not a red?

Good question! I would think they require both a red and a black, but you're right, it's possible one could pass and not the other :shock:

Also, would they get quite a large number of samples, because they could be inconsistant?
