Has anyone here sanded one of their straight handled blades to give it a slightly flared/ coned shape. I use defence2 blade which only comes in straight handle. I rarely twiddle. (after serve, BH kill on pop- up slow ball) I chop 60 and loop 40 on FH. I heard cracking noises on my blade lately so I ordered a new one. I am trying to improve spinny loop FH as much as possible. I noticed that when I play with practice partner's flared handle blade I swing much more fearlessly on spinny loops. My thought (I also heard this from good source) was to sand the blade handle progressively until I don't think about it flying out of my hand when I want a lot of bat speed. Any thoughts? warnings? tips? Same source said loopers would sand the sides of the blade handle and not the front and back (as you see it laying flat on table)

Just saw pics and read on conical handle. Looks perfect for what I am thinking wont slip out of hand and is rounder than it is oval. Comfortable chopping and looping in theory. that is what I want. Not flared out at very end to much which forces my grip towards blade too much. Conical handle users; thoughts?
