For those who have tried blade with straight and flared handle, what do you prefer to use and why?

I always prefer FL...I'm always concerned that ST will slip out of my hands...

I keep a very lose grip, constantly changing my grip for each shot so a flared handle tends to get very annoying (and painful), so definitely a straight grip for me.

I also used both, but my Joo only came with a straight handle, so I've got used to that.

Flared with a lottle grip tape to make it not quite anatomic, but it feels more like a straight handle but fits my hand better.

I put ST but I like both. ST only if the handle is big enough. For brands that have smaller handle in ST I will get the FL so I can keep a hold of it better.

I have tried all the handles but have settled on straight because it just fills my hand better, the flaired feels like i have to hold it tight because it is smaller.
I feel as if i have more control with the straight so thats what i use. :)

Seems that people who have tried both prefer straight handle. I prefer straight handle too. It gives me better control. But I find FL better when executing flat drives.

Over the years I've use flared, straight, conic and anatomic. Doesn't make a huge difference to me but flared is usually the best compromise of comfort and security.

I like straight. Flared jabs into the bottom of my hand and also messes up my twiddling.

I prefer FL, I play with FL. But, I have tried M.Maze ST and I feel it better only while hitting BH Loop. Definitely personal opinion (pref.).

Haven't tried ST handle but I've tried the AN blade.
In the end its all about personal preference. Not everyone's playing style, blade-holdin style is the same..

I prefer FL, max grip for me :)

I've used both and I twiddle so it makes a difference. I like something in between...the only good example I know of is the Xiom handles which are fatter and have just the right amount of "flare." The flared handle on my Gambler is WAY too thin and overly flared. I built up the handle in increasingly wider layers of thin packing foam topped by a Butterfly leather wrap so it is almost straight if you look at it, but nicely cushioned. The wrap also helps a lot if my hand starts to get too sweaty.

I have never tried Gambler's FL handle. Based on reviews it is thinner than the ST, this is why I got ST handle on that blade. The St handle is very long so the edge doesn't dig into your hand like some do. Gambler Arc/Car blade has thicker ST handle (nice size to me) than OS Kevlar. OS Kevlar ST handle is borderline to me. I can use it, though I prefer a little thicker, but I like thicker handles than average I think.
