I'm a bit bored (read: procrastinating) and decided to start my own blade picture thread here.

Latest blade courtesy of Haggisv.

ahhh the magic of a DSLR :P

I did that during a quick break from my thesis. The black backing is the side of a computer case, leaning on a table and supported on my knees. All except for the first two photos were taken while i was holding the camera (almost 2kg) in one hand and the blade in the other.

First 2 photos have the blade still in it's plastic :P
It's not sealed, but the limba is very smooth. I gave it another once over with some wet and dry anyway.

D200, 60 macro. With a grip and flash attached.

Thinking of getting a D300... Can't stand the high iso on this camera.

I have a Lightsphere II diffuser on the flash.

Best bit of hardware I've bought so far...

You've got the nice tools man...

I only use the Omnibounce... I haven't used my flash for a couple of years now, my rechargeable batteries have gone bad... And I was too lazy to wait to try to recharge the batteries and use the flash for the blades photos... Maybe later I'll dusted the flash and batteries (hoping they can be resurrected)...

Ahh, the magic indeed of dSLRs, good lighting, AND the photographer. Those photos are really nice to see...interesting touch using the f-stops.

Mebbe haggisv could hire you for high-res photography for the shop.

I've got a stofen omnibounce somewhere too. Bought that one first. It's absolute rubbish compared to the lightsphere.

I'm tempted to buy a whaletail. I'm sure it's overpriced and all that, but it does work...
