Blade: DONIC Defplay Senso V3
FH: YASAKA Rakza 7 Soft 1.8mm
BH: TSP SpinpipsChop II 1.4mm
Does anyone have experience of these 3 blades:
  • Yinhe 980
  • Yinhe LQ-1 (LQ1)
  • Yinhe LQ-2 (LQ2)
to write a comparison between these 3 blades?

I'm particularly interested in Yinhe 980

I've got the "deluxe Kim Song I" version of the 980 which is called 980XX. It's quite good for chopping but for me it's simply too slow for my inverted FH side. Way too much vibration when hitting with the FH for my taste.

The ST handle is quite short so stay away if you have normal hands (I would categorise mine as small/medium).

It's a few notches slower than my VKM which I consider being a fairly slow blade.

I have 980, which is sanded down to reasonable size. It's too stiff for me - I have problem getting spin while looping.

I have LQ1 and LQ2, at least 3 of each. LQ2 is a fantastic chopping blade with good flex for looping. LQ1 is harder, stiffer and more difficult to control for chopping. I think both are very good blades. LQ2 was the best chopping blade (off the table) I ever used. Never tried 980.

I just put an order from Ali for the LQ-1, I am very curious for this blade. I found it ~35USD which is a good price. LQ-2 is around ~55USD while 980 is about ~20USD.

I can only compare DefPlay Senso 3 and 980 as I have plaid with them for a lot of time.
The 980 is "stiffer" and faster than DefPlay Senso. Smashes and blocks are way better with 980, while loops are a bit spinnier with Defplay. Chopping is easier and more controllable with 980 as the feedback I get from 980 is way better that DefPlay. Defplay has a LOT of vibrations, too much of them and this is something that I don't like. DefPlay and 980 are about the same weight but DefPlay is too head-heavy for my tastes. Overall I prefer the 980 than DefPlay, but this is just my opinion. I enjoy playing with 980 and help me make my loops better and spinnier.

Currently, the Defplay Senso v3, is one of the blades, I'm playing with, on a regular basis ... I wouldn't term it as a slow blade, and it's rather springy ... I've been mulling-over, buying the 980, for a while now ... between the defplay and 980, which ones slower, and less springy ?

Also, how does the 980 perform, close to the table, with both, LP and inverted ?

980 is less springy, close to the table 980 is better in blocks smashes and pushes. Loops and top-spins is better (spinnier) with Defplay Senso v3
