Hey guys, I need advice on a blade.

I’ve been playing with the Chen Weixing blade and I loved it, but it was a bit too slow. Don’t forget, I’m playing double inverted chopping for the last 2 years except for one 2 month stint where I lost my mind and went back to pips this last November. (Never again!)

I need suggestions on a faster and stiffer blade, that would still have the touch of a chopping blade. Currently I’m using the VKM but it’s too slow and too flexy for my game. I was thinking the VKMO may work, but it might be too heavy.

I have ordered Satoshi Aida’s blade, the Yasaka Masamune but that’s going to take a long time to get back in stock, and then to ship in. He used to use the Takashima H3 but that damn thing is a unicorn.

In the meantime, I need another replacement blade to use till that gets in. The Masamune is 155x155mm (smaller than most chopping blades) I’d like to try to emulate that if possible. It’s a 3 ply hinoki. Maybe a smaller sized chopping blade or a larger sized offensive blade? I dunno. Can’t be too heavy… under 90g if possible

Any thoughts? Suggestions?

How heavy is it? Is it relatively fast?

Tibhar Stratus Power Defense...
Not as stiff as the Joo Sae Hyuk or Victas KMO.
It's slightly flexible but not as much as the Donic Defplay.
Speed wise is faster than the Defplay and Victas Koji Matsuhita but slower than the Joo Sae Hyuk and Victas KMO.
Number of Layers: 5
Approximate weight (g): 80/85 g

Yinhe/Galaxy LQ-1 may be a good start. Not too flexy. 85ish grams. May not be fast enough tho.
