Vega Pro is priced at 3040 Yen at iruiru (22€, 39AU$), not bad for a tenergy competitor uh?

I'd love to read a comparison of Vega to Macro ERA, particularly as, having just tried T64 and really liking it, I'm close to sending $60+ to BTY. :drunken:

So Geoff is like aussiett Geoff? I went there to see if I could buy a sheet but it wasn't in stock so there goes my theory that this was marketing getting W.H to review it. We will see, no matter I thought WH did a great job and anything a top player puts their name to saying it is the closest thing tenergy is worth buying a sheet of. Shame WH hasnt tried Hexer...

oh well still waiting - thanks for such an in depth topic listed here as usual. must do a 3 way in depth review soon with 05 hexer and vega now.

ps after the h3 neo review

Can't believe I had to be told by Wook himself to go look for this thread LOL. But it was worth it. He was just as excited about the Vega when I spoke to him at MSAC today as Geoff said he was, and as he came across in his review. Had a chance to eyeball the Vega pro today too, and it really was a nice looking rubber. Black sponge is mega-sexy (in line with Der's babe factor) and the topsheet had a sheen of quality on it. Of course it was a brand new sheet he was still cutting with scissors as I spoke to him lol.

Actually it only occurred to me later that maybe Wook had an "old" sheet of Vega Pro in his bag that he had ripped off his bat that if I'd asked nicely he might have let me try lol. He comes across as that type of guy! Oh well, maybe next year, haha!

That's a bit on the heavy side, although probably not too different from Tenergy

I've tried few minutes yesterday evening my Xiom Vega Pro in 2mm. My opinion is quite the same opinion than thewook82's one.

- Vega Pro has a low throw over the net than Tenergy's rubber
- I don't find Vega Pro Harder than Tenergy 05, i feel hardness between T05 and T64.
- Vega Pro is a slower than Tenergy 64
- Vega Pro felt better for counter-topspins away from the table than Tenergy 05 but less than T64
- Vega Pro has good spin, equivalent to tenergy
- Vega Pro is not going to let down any part of your game. It has enough speed, spin, control, tension, friction and everything else for a world-class player to use.
- the topsheet is excellent, very good quality

I find this rubber as a mix of T05 and T64 but with less speed and low throw.
