Well, second try today. On the TBS, and I hadn't much hopes before. Bounce test wasn't spectacular, 4 times on the TBS, and 3 on the Huricane Hao.
Strong competition for me today, I started against the mens number 60 of the Netherlands, and after the the womans number 30. So I didn't expected to win many points
Well, surprising outcome for tonight. Against my first opponent I played a simple warming up, and the rubber felt completely different to me. Faster, spinnier en just better. I could really go for my opining loops and after that loop I'm no longer a sitting duck like I was last week.
I took a set out of the #60, that hasn't happened to me in a year, so I'm quite glad with that result. And best of all: the rubber held it's own. 8) Even against his bullets I had good control, and I was quite happy with it. Spin/speed balance was much better on the TBS. Last week I had the feeling I had to chose either speed or spin, and tonight I could have both.

Against the womans #30 I had the same result. Again I took a set out of her, and it felt good during the counter loop battles. Faster and still with good control compared to last week. I could flatten it out much better, and the ball wasn't supersonic, but definitely fast. I never expected this after last week to be honest. :)

After those opponent I played the same opponent as last week, and that was an easy victory for me. I could do with the oping loops whatever I wanted: slow with much spin, faster with decent spin. Hmm, maybe it was my equipment all these years

Well, next week I'll give it another go on the TBS but if it stays like this I'm very happy with this rubber and it will stay on my backhand. I'd like to hear what marathon-man thinks of this rubber.

I finally received my second Kung-Fu blade today which means I'll be able to try the SF next monday (hopefully with Piranja Tec on the backhand).

I already know that this setup will be much slower (at least on the fh) than my Shark III which is extremely fast. Of course, I'll try to post here as soon as I am back from the club.

Cheers,
Ma'man

Last night I had a fourth test with it, I didn't described the third one since it was at a difference club.
It did perform us usual last night, good control with decent spin and speed. I played a match with it and no problems so far.

After that match I decided to switch to a different setup with Donic JOW on the bh. Suddenly my bh was dangerous again, hmm surprising, cause I really thought Scirocco did the trick for me. Especially on flat hits it is very slow. Switched back the setup with Scirocco and suddenly I wasn't as happy as before. Yes, the rubber does hold it own when you need to block a fast ball, so control is good. Spin is decent, but you can vary a lot. The speed just isn't there to put some real pressure with speed on the opponent. But maybe with a bit of tuning that problem can be solved as well. :)

So my conclusion for this rubber is that this rubber is good for the BH if you play a control orientated game, and you don't care as much about speed.

Next time I will give it a try on the forehand, see how it performs on that side.

I had my first session last evening with the SF.

My comment will be brief as this sheet really needs to be broken to give its full potential.

Speed is more than decent, not too fast nor to slow; the SF is an average rubber when considering speed. On passive game, it behaves like a tacky rubber even though the topsheet is not tacky; so it requires a bit more attention when playing short. But when attacking (flat hitting and topspinning the ball) the SF behaves quite nicely with a very very good spin and it feels more like a euro-like rubber rather than a chinese one.
Control is good, you can put the ball whereever you want without problems.

I really liked the SF for backspin serves as this rubber which feels harder than the 38° given allows to impart huge backspin. What I also like about it is that it is really E-Z to serve short or long with the same amount of spin. With the SF, I am sure you can score many many points with the serve.

All in all, I am quite surprised (happily) with the SF. It will need a couple more hours of play so it gets broken and after that, I am sure that I will have more insight to report here.

Cheers,
Ma'man

Your impression is quite different than mine. What is your style of play if I may ask, and on what side did you use it? :)

Today I played with it for about 15 minutes, on the fh this time. Was a lot better, indeed a spinnier rubber than it was on the bh, and I didn't had any problems with the speed either. I can see the comment of behaving like a tacky rubber now, on the fh it does. It's quite slow on blocks and in the short game.
Next try will be on the fh again, but for a longer period of time. :)

I played with it on tuesday evening and I am still extremely pleased with it; so pleased that it should be my FH rubber for the coming season. With the SF, I finally find a rubber I feel confident playing with.
Great spin for serves, explosive when attacking and in passive play, it is really easy to place the ball anywhere I want. This rubber doesn't seem to have any weakness.

But to be completely honest with you, I did a little something to the rubber so I can use its full potential right away. During my first trial session, I noticed that the SF behaves like a regular chinese rubber, which means that the sponge needs to be broken.
I used some DHS Intensifier and let the rubber soak until it got a little dome. I removed the fabric, peeled the excess of rubber intensifier, let it dry 12 hours and put 4-5 layers of water solubility bond the next day and finally glued it to my blade.

I know this is wrong, but that's the fastest means I brek a chinese rubber. The result is impressive and speedwise, the SF is as fast as the SR or SN but with one big advantage : the topsheet mounted on a rather soft sponge is much better, stickier and harder than its brothers and that is what I am looking for as that's the best combination for spinny serve and agressive topspins.

Hope this will help.

Cheers,
Ma'man

PS : Haggisv, did you get the money for the shipping fees????
