Omega IV Elite is tuned version of Omega IV Europe. This is at least what the shop keeper of Contra-Berlin told me, so bought the untuned one :) (Europe)

I used Euro in the past and now have the Elite. Very good rubber. Spinnier than Euro, better feel and sound. I don't think it's the tuned version of Euro.

Yes ti's slower but it is not the tuned version of Omega Euro...has more control and a little bit more spin...I think for an intermediate player it's a wise choise for bh...

How soft is omega iv elite?

I may get this on my next setup that I buy (in around 6 months from now).

I would put it on a super stiff and, on omega iv elite's side, a decently hard wood.

How fast is it compared to euro?

it has the same properties as asian, euro, and pro just with a softer sponge thts it. the sponge is BUTTER soft reminds me of solcion but perhaps even softer. Grip is simply tremendous. speed is not slow by any means (tensored and it is an OMEGA). control is as good as you can get with the feel of super soft rubbers.

oh also spin and feel is mechanical, very much like tenergy. with this soft sponge spin generated is massive.

I just put this Omega IV Elite on my BBC Fiddler , which had a older used sheet of Rakza7 on the forehand side
at first I was just trying to sell a sheet of the Elite but then decided to keep it on that blade (a fairly stiff 7 ply Cyprus wood)

I don't do too many reviews (mainly can't be bothered lol) but I'm a Veteran player who started playing around 35 years ago ,
I tend to hit more than top spin but always prefer a forehand rubber that I can spin and hit with (such as Stiga Calibra spin, Rakza 7 Tibhar 1Q)
but I normally want slow for backhand rubber, (easier to return serves, add some funk and create a point of difference) So I normally play with Ox long pimples, so even though I'm doing a review on a fast, soft, tuned, maximum backhand rubber I can still handle and use the power of softer rubbers on my backhand (I find soft rubber strokes similar to long pimples i'e the brush up Frisbee stroke and at the bounce block type shots etc)

Anyhow I was just mucking around showing the rubber and setup to a few players , when a Top NZ jnr wanted a game, I had just spent most of the time using my bat with LP's but I wanted to try Omega Elite iv on my forehand , just for fun but when I found myself 4-0 down mainly because I kept missing my backhand returns with Razka7 I had to use the Elite on my backhand , I found the control great and I could fight out a backhand to backhand duel and then power hit with a bit extra swipe, during the game I tried punch blocking his loops and they were nearly always successful and went back fast and low, I could attack his serves by doing a full stroke and aim at the corners, In fact it was so easy to use I found that as long as I didn't over try i could do all the basic backhand strokes

Blocking: easy and does medium return but a forward type block produced a fast low skiddy shot
topspin loop : very easy to do even against slight backspin and return of serves
Serving : I did a few sidespin backhand serves and the boy couldn't even control the shot so it was fun to watch lol
backhand push; It was ok at this, I just got to find the right angle but because I could attack I did more of that than push
short game: unsure yet

the overall power and speed was very impressive , I did beat the boy 3-2 I would compare it to something like Tenergy 64 but a touch softer feel, I wonder how long the tuning effect lasts?
