Have any of you played with Gambler Nine Ultra Tack? If so, what other rubbers is it comparable to? In my opinion it's a hybrid of a European style rubber with some Chinese style tack. What else is out there similar to that?

Not necessarily looking for cheaper, just looking to expand my rubber knowledge.

Thanks in advance!!!

Maybe this new line of Tibhar "Hybrid" rubbers qualifies? K1, K1J, K2, etc. etc.

Surprised to find Eacheng (actually GH Sports) selling K1J - about $30 IIRC. Says "Made in Germany". I suppose in the past they've sold the likes of Palio Thor's (also made in Germany) but it's not something common. And speaking of Thor's - isn't that the original tacky Tensor?

I would expect this Gambler ribber to be made in China, so you're mostly likely to find something similar in other Chinese-made rubbers. A few come to mind:

729 Battle II
729 Focus III
Spinlord Tiger
Avalox AVX Pronte

Thank you guys! Really appreciate the insight. Have either of you played with Gambler Burst? What's that like in comparison to Nine Ultra Tack (which is supposed to be less tacky than Burst)?

I haven't tried Gambler rubber yet (it costs too much to ship stuff from the US), but I put together a table based on the information I found on their website:

There's a new sponge coming soon, apparently.

Burst available with Thor's Hammer or Gearz sponge.

Nine Ultra Tack only offered with Gearz at this time.

For me the short game better with Burst/Thor's Hammer sponge compared to Nine Ultra Tack/Gearz.

I'm currently playing with 729 Bloom Power and Bloom Spin. Not sure how these compare with Nine Ultra Tack, but I think they're worth a try. A little more than $9 including shipping. I'd suggest Bloom Spin 45 degrees.
