I've got some brand new but old 729 Friendship table tennis rubbers that are ~7 years old.

Are these still usable? How long do these chinese rubbers last?

In package and with plastic protection foil intact, stored in stable and not extreme humidity/temperature condition, they last forever.

Not literally, but practically forever. A week ago I glued up the last rubbers from a "bulk pack" I bought from Eacheng ~11 years ago. (Before I discovered Alibaba/Aliexpress, and before Eacheng doubled most of their prices overnight). Bouncy and sticky. Good as new.

Slap 'em on your blade and you won't be disappointed - I bet! ;)

729 rubbers do seem to last a while in the package. But there are brands where the topsheet tends to separate. Reactor Corbor and Kokutaku 868 for instance. Yes, my pile of rubbers, most of which I bought around 2015 or so is still about 2 feet tall..
