I was a full-time hardbatter, mostly playing against sponge, for over 10 years. I switched to short pips with sponge at the beginning of the covid shutdown. I have enjoyed my affair with short pips, but I am ready to return to full-time hardbat now. So who is still playing hardbat? What shall we discuss?

I assume that most hardbat players must (like me) play almost all of their matches against sponge players. If that is the case, perhaps a thread sharing tactics when playing against sponge players would be interesting. Any suggestions?

I plan to break out my Dr. Evil hardbat when I return to playing. I played full time hardbat for a number of years and it was fun and pretty effective.

A racket with 388D-1 (long pips) does not qualify (or is not holy enough) as hardbat. :o :whew:
