I've tried to contact him via several different method, but have not had a response... I'm sure he was genuine when he agreed to the interview, so all I can do is wait...

I talked to him today and asked him about it. He said he was sorry that he hadn't answered the questions yet, but he still had them stored and was going to answer them as "soon as possible", so lets hope he does, as I for one look forward to this interview.

Did you ask him anything else? Like what rubbers and blade he's currently using? :)

Since I'm the announcer when our team play, it felt kind of awkward to move up to him to talk, almost as if I was a traitor. I think he is still using the Donic Akkadi, not sure if it's L1 & L2 and he uses it on an extremely thin blade. He wasn't having one of his best nights, but boy does his fh flip rock! This guy flips harder then I smash and he does it with great consistency as well.

I understand your situation but I also think your club-members would understand if you wanted to ask him some questions. The thing about the blade is interesting, based on 5-6 pictures from him training and playing matches the last two month I can say with 100% certainty that he at least has a Persson Powerplay handle, but you never know what blade really hides between the grip-blocks.

Nope

Damn it Speedplay, you really need to do something about your video-situation ;) . I am sure you had a very good position to film from where you were standing. If you just had put a camcorder on a tripod next to you you would have tons of interesting clips for us to analyse and discuss.

Haggisv, is there a way to force Speedplay to get his hands on a digital camcorder? Can you like change his name or avatar to something like "I love pimples" until he puts a few films on the forum  ? Or should we just order a camera for him. Could be a very good investment :?:

What you're really saying is that you need a computer as well, right? 8)

Yes get the club to record the matches...then you can volunteer to upload them for them, as long as they provide a PC to do the work ;)

I don't know what it's like in Sweden, but here there's so many old (2 years or so) PCs around from businesses, that you can pick one up for less then a sheet of Tenergy. Even a 2 yar old PC should be able to handle video work without any trouble...

Actually, I don't even think you need a computer for handling the films. You can do most of the editing with the camera and then just upload it to a Youtube account using a Wi-Fi connection somewhere (many video cameras are prepared for uploading directly to Youtube and also have Wi-Fi). Or just plug the camera into your old lazy computer and just upload the film without even placing it on your computer's hard drive.

Otherwise, just buy an old pc from Blocket.se, shouldn't cost more than a Tenergy either...

I think most clubs should have a video camera, that is vary good and easy way to help people improve. But of course, not all people wants to end up at Youtube. That has to be respected as well, but it is easy to ask (but should you ask before or after the match :?: ). Speedplay, I hope you will solve this problem until next time Fabian comes for a visit, the whole forum counts on you  ... Just kidding, no more than 93% of the users do that ;)
