Likewise :/ There's a club an hour away that partly re-opened recently, and another about a half hour away that may re-open partly in another month or so. I don't have room in my house for a table, and my attempts to play outdoors with my son have been horrible failures (basically Murphy's Law wrt. wind).

I have played once since March 13th. On a concrete table outside, which was not a great experience. Tomorrow night, 20th August, I will have a one-to-one coaching session in a small facility which I know will be disinfected, with only the two of us in place, and all doors open. The temptation for many is to go back into quite crowded spaces as back in the old days, but that seems risky. A family of my acquaintance with 3 small children have all come down with colds, which has required them to get tested. Obviously, somewhere along the line, one at least came into contact with someone who was not properly distancing.
Our local league, which normally starts in September, has been postponed till the new year. Largely because most of our playing venues are communal halls or school gyms. Schools in particular are in no hurry to allow external activities on their premises.
The only small consolation of this disease is that many other communicable diseases have been reduced in number by the distancing measures. The actual number of (cumulative) excess deaths in the UK, while still too high, is actually going down at the moment, as the new Covid deaths are being outweighed by fewer deaths from other causes, significantly flu.

Bump for this, anyone playing regularly indoors?

The club near me recently re-opened with indoors, masks on, socially distant, and limit to number of people. I'm so tempted to play, but I'm also worried about getting COVID and passing it onto my elderly relatives that I see often.

Our club is currently open twice a week and has laid out guidelines for play that involve using sanitizer before and after matches, not switching sides, masks on when not at a table, tacking attendance if we need to contact trace, and other general social distancing steps.

All that said, the issue you'll inevitably run into, is some people just don't care and at least where I am the enforcement is minimal despite daily reminders.

Generally I think if you can control your own social distancing, sanitize and the like, you can probably play quite safely even if others aren't so cooperative - though I wouldn't likely recommend doubles right now.
