Butterfly Japan manufacturer has no other option but to mitigate their prices.

All the major table tennis manufacturers are expected to willy-nilly cut their prices, seeing the prolonged break of all sports activities worldwide due to the coronavirus hazard. The longer the antivirus restrictions stay in force, the greater price discounts should be. We may see Butterfly Tenergy factory prices dropping dramatically by the summertime or so.

Even in the local shop where I buy, I have been receiving great freebies. I even bought a big Bty bag at 1/3 of the retail price.
