today, playing games after drilling, i was away from the table chopping and one of my training partners was lobbing (in separate tables of course). i got a wide ball to my backhand, at the same time he got a wide ball to his forehand. we ran in opposite directions and crashed pretty hard, with his racket hitting my head. i got a bit dizzy of course, but i was going to pick up the ball and continue playing, when i noticed the floor was all bloody. i got a nasty cut in my head, had to go to the hospital for a ct scan and 10 stitches. i guess table tennis is dangerous afterall.

Wow that's nasty!
Cuts to the head can bleed a lot even when there's little damage, so hopefully you'll be back on the table in no time!

Hope you feel better soon Li2s04.

hope yor recovering.
In this Mondays match I was moving across the table close to the corner to reach a wide one and the corner of the table dug into my stomach and raked right across it causing me to whince with pain,I noticed a chunk missing from that corner which gave it a sharp feel to the touch, when I lifted my shirt up it looked like Mr Han had raked me with his claw ,still very sore now

Well i believe any sport can cause this type of stuff i mean any injury so we should be mentally ready for something if it happens we have to face it gently.I can understand your pain and feel sorry for you can pray for you hope you recover soon.

Some head wounds, while relatively minor, can really bleed a lot. Was the blade hurt?

My club has 4 tables close to each other in tight space with no barriers. (1.5 meters between tables.)

Last night, I had to take a quick step back and to FH side to powerloop a ball and a lady I could not see was trying to walk behind me.

I swung at teh ball not seeing her at all as I was focused forward looking at ball moving quickly. I swung, the bat hit her tricep, clung to my hand a bit, released, and bat went accros club to crash on side wall. Since bat clipped lady's soft tricep, no injury to her. Since bat released, no wrist injury to me. Glad I wasn't death gripping the bat or would have had a broke wrist.

Bat off course got cracked and M. Maze is no longer serviceable.

On a better front, I moved Xiom Sigma 1 from M. Maze to an ALL+ wood looping blade and it is Grrrrrrrrreeeeaaatttt. It was an ave rubber on the M. Maze.
