"I think that having gold as the prize is a wonderful idea. It is a joint effort of the Double Fish Company and the Guangzhou Table Tennis Association. I just hope that other associations can replicate such a unique way of attracting masses to table tennis," ITTF President Adham Sharara said.

My whole set-up costs less than a sheet of Butterfly Dignics

I'm not sure if gold bars will mean more than money for the western countries.... in some of the asian countries it has more meaning, for other it's probably no more than a novelty. Still it's something different...
