You have to see how long "Lars Hielscher" (German pro-player) waits before he serves. That's really annoying

(Here you can see him playing : http://dttl.tv/index.php?option=com_res ... 3&Itemid=1)

He is the green one.

My routine:

1) get ball, look at ball

2) bounce on table, crouch to serve position

3) turn head, look opponent in the eye

4) turn head, look from opponent's face to wide forehand of opponent

5) look back at ball, bounce it again a few times

6) toss up, serve

Variations: (when it's money-time and everything goes, or the opp is a jerk)

- get up from serve position at 5), wipe imaginary sweat off table, start at 2)

- instead of always looking at forehand corner, look at random places of the table, 2 or 3 in a row, serve non-correlated to where you've looked...  (this is apparently very unnerving for the opp)
XTRA: look at random places around you, other tables, the score-bord, the ceiling, your left arm, for added psycho-effect

- after 5), repeat 3) 4) 5), this a few times in a row, make sure to smile diabolically

This reminds of that good old mind games thread :D

I don't bounce with the ball. My club has a wooden floor so that's a bit difficult

I have several tosses, and I switch them up when it's 8-8 and so on. At the moment the point is over my thoughts are with the next serve or return. When i'm back at the table I know what my shot will be.
