The problem is we can't clearly separate disguise with other things. For instance, serving a no spin ball and the opponent push it too high. Is that win by spin or disguise? Then serving a backspin ball, the opponent push it to the net, is it spin or disguise?
Basically, we win because our serves are out of our opponent's expectation. Our opponent expects a backspin ball, a no spin ball and a very strong backspin ball are both out of his expectation.
The same with placement. We win by placement because our opponents misjudge the placement.
