Manufacturing date codes, perhaps? Mine are marked "XGAH", I've forgotten how to read these though.. :lol:

My practice partner was the one who provided the ball, so I didn't see the box, but next time I see him, I can ask if he has it and check for that info.

Getting an ideal ball brand is a delusive hope, sorry. Even those supplies of DHS balls for ITTF major events does contain substandard products a lot. Players always allowed to pick up 20 balls of 30 before a match gets started. Where the "rejected" balls would passing to? I do not know.
Are the used balls being reused again ? I do not know.

Try just reading off the code and typing it in. It's hard to find.. six tiny letters (maybe 12 point) stamped into the box, on one side about 2/3 of the way down.

Weird. The image is displayed when I look at my prior post, but I guess others aren't seeing it. I'm seeing a sequence of numbers that goes like this:

The code should be four capital letters, like the one I posted earlier. They're embossed into the cardboard of the box.
