Hello everybody,
I‘m a developing player who used to play competitively as a child and now I‘m back playing at a local club. I currently use a Yasaka Sweden Extra with a Fastarc G-1 on FH and Rakza 7 on BH. I‘m looking for a faster blade, preferably off, not off+.
After some research I narrowed it down to the following three blades:
1. Victas Koki Niwa
2. Butterfly Liu Shiwen
3. Butterfly Innerforce Layer ZLC
The Koki Niwa is probably the underdog here but the few people that have it praise it for its very good control and speed, though it apparently lacks spin. The Liu Shiwen seems to be a popular off blade for ambitious players who don‘t want to sacrifice speed for control. Many people say that the Innerforce ZLC is their favorite blade ever, sounds promising.
What‘s your opinion on these blades? Thank you.
I've recently returned to the game after 10yrs off. So our situations may be similar.
Used Offensive classic before I stopped.
1. No experience with VKN
2. I'm using layer ZLF atm, which is basically a Liu Shiwen with smaller head size. LSW's hard to get.
ZLF's basically plays like an allwood with a minor kick when ZLF's activated. Dwell time, control and all that good sht. It's an expensive upgrade from your YSE. I'm an EJ and dgaf about the money but ymmv.
3. Used Carbonado 45 for a couple months before the ZLF. The 45 should have similar base line speed to ZLC. 45's an outer carbon, so the performance is much more linear compared to inner carbons. However the 45's too fast for my current skill level, not enough dwell time on backspin loops. But excellent in every other department. Will go back to it when I get mad gud.
In my experience, when you don't have mad skillz, better too slow than too fast. Good luck.
