I see plenty of people wrapping their handles with some badminton or tennis grip tape. what is the reason to this, or what positive can u earn from it? cuz id suppose u loose some feel by it.

I guess they feel either the bat would fly off, or the handle's too thin for them.

Since we are talking about improving one's grip on their racket, I was wondering today if it would be legal to wear a glove on the racket hand to improve one's grip?

I don't recall any rule saying you can't, so I would think it's perfectly legal... I do think you'll lose a lot of feel though, as well as a risk of the bat slipping out of your hands

3 good reasons would be to correct a thin handle, head heavy bat, or too much vibration. Anyone want my Nitaku Thunder Blade ? I never put tape on it and have zero use for it now. Who is in Houston that uses one and went to China this past year?

there are thin gloves with pimples that are grippy. Very handy and nice looking gloves. I used to use a pair for biking and taking photos at relatively cold weather...

That would be me. I acutally don't need any new blades, indeed I have a once-used Photino I am trying to unload.

I used the best tennis over grip you can find, the Tecnifibre over grip. I use it because my hand feel better with the super soft touch and more secure with the blade. Some wood handles was not as smooth as I would like them to be and by using over grip, I don't have to worry about that. BTW, the over grip also absorb sweats too.

The grip tape is not useful if you make slight adjustments on the grip.

Anyone can have the Nittaku Thunderblade for postage costs, which should be at or under $10 USD. (Might take a couple weeks to arive though.) I always thought Baal used the Thunder Blade before. Maybe I was thinking of the wrong forum member... Hey, it makes an OK blade for an Allround kind of player.

About the Photino... I have always wanted to try out the new BTY ZL blades. What are you offering for price?

I use a grip tape on my handle because it cut out the sweat and makes the grip feel more positive. It also tends to make all blades with the same tape on make the handle feel the same, so its always immediately familiar if I try another blade. The slight sponginess of the tape also reduces handle vibration in your hand, not that its a big issue. I don't find I lose any play feel.

I know a guy who does it because otherwise he feels like the blade is too thin. I don't like the way it feels, though, so I doubt I'd ever do it.

tats true. it used to be a bit uncomfortable when transitioning between BH to FH vice versa
until i wrap the grip tape with the reverse side up, smooth side down. if u noticed,
the grip tape on my H.King is a bit rough. cos its the underside of it. LOL

I can still twiddle with my grip taped, but its a little harder than no tape. Need to be careful the tape doesn't make you drop the bat LOL (as I did once lol)

PS Nice pic of your HK Yuna...looks pretty familiar lol
