Hey guys,

I want to upgrade to a carbon blade. They say that Timo Boll ALC is best for hard shots but also control because as soon as you go for zylon (ZLC or ZLF) then there is a major dip in the control?

My playing style - controlled topspin shots to the opponent's edge. I like to impart a lot of spin and don't want the ball to shoot off the table when I topspin.

My question:
1. is the difference I wrote above about the ALC vs ZLC and ZLF accurate?
2. Should I go for ALC for my playing style? or should I go for zylon?

Thanks

I reckon that most people would not be able to tell the difference between the three blades in a blind test.

None of these would be on my recommendation list for "controlled spin".

Timo Boll ALC are quite popular among upper-intermediate topspin players. So at least it sells well second hand in case you have dislike it after the test.

Not sure about ZLC/ZLF it may be a failed marketing trick.
