It’s so great to see common sense and objectivity prevailing in this community.

Sure it was a defect, though to try to tarnish (troll?) an entire brand/retailer who provided competent post sale care is not OK.

I think this thread did the opposite of OP wanted and actually educated people on just how hard it is to have close to 100% quality control. It’s proven Tibhar is a top and reputable table tennis manufacturer.

I’ve had a perfect experience at tabletennis11.com the last time I purchased off them. This gives me more peace of mind to go back again.

a large knot in the outer ply, which I personally think is not acceptable as a ball will no doubt bounce differently on this spot.

Can you test this just to be sure? The bounce compared to a spot right next to it (same distance to the edge of the blade, not further in)

ps: A friend of mine recently bought a carbonado. Unsurprisingly, the top ply was an inconsistent thickness across the face of the blade. I see this on a lot of blades.

Isn’t this the whole marketing around the new Super ALC? A more tighter woven pattern increasing speed and hardness. Well at least enough difference that Butterfly can justify to charge more $

Everything is marketing without any substance. And people happily fork over the dough. They are deluded enough to think it will do something positive for their game. I know div 2/3 players with dignics and div 1 players with $600 bats (who play crap anyway).

A new bty blade for $460. A new shape. New rubber colours (payday for ittf). New pre-glued sponge to stick directly on the blade (even though yinhe did it ages ago). 'Carbo' sponge where they add carbon to the sponge (they have always added carbon to sponges). Special black tag fish scale bty blades.

No wonder the donic rubber warmer was a thing.

Blade: Sanwei Fextra 7

I am also not satisfied with my Tibhar Samsonov Pro Black Edition blade exemplar. Made a review here sometimes ago. And I probably will not buy any Tibhar blade anymore.
At the same time I am very satisfied with Tibhar rubbers. I play them now and try new Tibhar rubbers from time to time.

My experience with Stiga is quit the opposite: legendary blade design, decent quality and prices. And totally unpopular rubbers.
