Blade: Tibhar IV-L
FH: Yasaka Mark V GPS
BH: Spinlord Gigant
Hello there ..

I've always played with an Tibhar IV-L blade with as backhand a Spinlord Gigant 1.2 and as forehand a Yasaka Mark V GPS 1.8
My game was totally depending on my Spinlord but last months I've progressed my attacking game using my forehand to flathit and counter-attack
Moving over to higher divisions I think the Yasaka Mark V GPS is coming a bit too slow comparing to the other players ..
So my question is what eventually tensor rubber can I use to flathit and counter-attack ?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions :)

I am happy with Palio AK47 Red, but it is kind of hard rubber. I did not tried softer Palio AK47 Blue but it is also very popular rubber.

AK47 Red is fast, linear and spin insensitive rubber. It is the best rubber to counter hit loops I know.

T05 is awful rubber for smash and block. It requires to spin every ball.

For me Rakza 7 feels like a logical continuation after the Mark 5.. Maybe the soft version, but not sure about that.

For me... Nittaku G1 is a more natural successor to Mk V and Sriver. It can loop and smash well, isn't too bouncy and last a long time.

It is claimed bh and fh should be extremely different so max sponge for the spinny, speedy inverted .
Many high level anti users have this setup .

I suppose if you're more into flat drives, especially if you never step back from the table, short pips might be an option on the forehand. You get more control over blocks and pushes, and topspin drives will be flatter. You should be more easily able to hit against backspin, or topspin drive against backspin (use a slightly open bat). The caveat is once you step back from the table you lose a great deal.

Razka X in similar sponge is a nice step up from M5.
