Yes most people here already know each other, because they've come from other TT forums...

Not a bad idea though... what do others think? Would you use a section like that to talk about yourself?

I quite like this idea...this was quite a long thread in wotan from memory!

Just to summarise and add to what you mentioned speedplay, we can have:
- how long you've been playing
- playing style
- level
- country and club, where you play
- job or what you do outside TT
- other hobbies

Anything else?

Of course whatever you're willing to share should be totally optional!

So where do we put it (what section)? Is it really worth creating another section?

I don't like a forum to have too many sections, it should pretty much fit on a page I think. There may actually be some sections we can get rid off, since they're not really being used...

Hi,

this is more of a technical suggestion so I don't know whether it is possible or not.

When you go to someone's (or your own) profile, can you have a link of all that person's past posts? (or, if that's too much, the last X number)

I can see two scenarios where this would come in handy.

When you see the post of a particularly useful/knowledgable person and are curious to see what else they have contributed.

When you've been asking a lot of questions (like I have) and forget what you've asked and want to quickly go over the answers.

There's a link in the profile to do this. It says something like "Display all posts by this member".

Edit: It's "Find all posts by (username)".

It would be great if there was a sort of most recent posts. This would be similar to the 'display posts since last visit' sort, but would be something like "Display last 50 posts", or perhaps user could specify the number (up to a maximum perhaps?).
There reason for this is that if you log on and don't get enough time to look through stuff and then log off, next time in its not easy to find those posts again to read.
Can it be done
