I tried the LKT Black Power and Gambler Outlaw. I will have to say that the rubbers are pretty good. I normaly use Ishlion with Tenergy 05 on Both sides. For the past few days I have been trying Black Power and Outlaw on Amultart Blade. The Black power has a massive amount of spin and a great feel. At first it seemed to me as if the tackiness of the rubber surface slowed down the speed. But after 3 days of hitting with it I'm sold. The rubber seemes be slightly lighter than Tenergy with more feel due the to softer sponge. I seemed to have a lot more spin and control on my serves( over tenergy). Looping off the table was good too. The rubber has nice curve as the package says. I would go out and say that this my play like Tenegy FX is entended with just a more tacky grip. Gabler Outlaw feels more like a Tension rubber along the line of Bryce or Bryce Speed. The rubber has a hard tensor feel to it. This rubber seemed just as fast as Tenergy but with a lower ball angle. It doesn't generate as much spin and ball curve when looping but has the all out power qualitys of a Bryce or Cermet. Has anyone played with the Red Diamond? I like the Black Power but it's only available in Black as so is Red Diamond only in Red. Anyone know why?

Thanks for the review, looper84.
Is the Black Power tacky or just grippy?

Thanks a lot looper84! It sounds like my kind of rubber!

Yes I'm sure speedplay is right about the rubber and sponge colours. i would exepct themt o play similar, although the back will likely be a little slower and spinnier.

If you are talking about Red Diamond and Black Power, the only thing they have in common is that they were released at the same time.

Totally different sponges and topsheets.

IMO, BlackPower doesn't come close to Tenergy. Maybe below the overall performance of Tenergy. On the other note, I still have to make a review on this rubber myself.

The other day, my aunt glued Black Power onto her primorac carbon. I must say, it was pretty quick, and great for the price. I didn't think it had that many gears though, slow loops were still fast. My aunt thought that it was pretty springy and great for looping. She's thinking about buying Red Diamond, so I'll keep you guys/girls with a ready supply of info about it.

Is it possible for you to give a detailed review about it? :) I have recently ordered a sheet of LKT Black Power and I am just curious to know how it plays. Just a bit anxious!

I had a hit of this on a team mates racket whom ordered througi ooak, it was mounted on a stiga offensive classic.

Gotta say im very impressed with it. It has a black sponge and only comes in black color, the red diamond is red with red sponge.

Perhaps you can compare it with 729-5, wraith, blue whale 2 and neo h3.

Very gripy but not tacky, quite fast and high throw with very good feel.
Cheap too.

I would get this for my next fh rubber.

how does this rubber compare with Boost TP and Outlaw. Is it good for fast smashing and punch blocking?

a couples notches slower than both but has good control/grip/throw that makes up for it..... all it all with all the rubbers looper would benefit.

Since I got back from China, I have been looking for a replacement for H-3 National. Can't be sure what H-3 you will get here.
I tried Black Power and have found what I need. (If the rubber proves durable)
I have it on a hard, fast (OFF) carbon blade. Not my favorite. I will put some on my W-1 soon.
BP is a little slower than the National, not much, the throw is close so I did not have to adjust my stroke any.
There is Lots more spin! The curve in the loops is something. Hookshots curve alot.
Biggest thing I noticed was the control. I could try harder loops from bad angles and land them. With H-3 National, I could feel myself holding back on harder shots but with this, I can just let it go. Blocking very hard loops is eaiser with BP also. Easy to brush loop and loop drive.
After 30 minutes, I switched back to H-3 and it felt wild. The BP has more control and consistancy partly because of the slower speed but seems to have something special.
Now to use it for a few weeks and see how it holds up. :)

My Vega Pro calls you a liar! ;)

I guess it depends on the individual topsheet and how transparent it is, but I don't see why they couldn't just alter the dye to compensate.

I think the reason it's only available in one colour is because the two are meant to be used together. I guess you could call it a marketing strategy?

Well, used the Black Power a lot now and no problems with durability so far. I still like it. Very consistant rubber. Might try spin max on it next. :)

How is the spin after some heavy use..?? One of my mates is using this rubber and he says that the spin has reduced a lot after 3 weeks.

My BP is still going strong! :)
No discoloration yet either.
Venus would look bad after three weeks but still played well.
