I got some of these new Air Scirocco rubber to test:

Here is the package:

Details of the rubber:

Rubber comes with quite fancy packaging, and even includes a glue sheet:

Rubber looks of good quality, closeups here:

Sponge measures 38deg on my scale
Sponge colour is orange, and it comes with a glue sheet, which is a nice addition IMO!

This rubber is not light, coming in at 69g for a 168 x 165mm sheet.

Pips seem fairly short, and the topsheet feel a little firm and not that thin.

The rubber is non-tacky but very grippy, and comes with an adhesive protection sheet.

I got a few of these sheets, and would be happy to pass around some new sheets for free, so that we can get a good view of what this rubber is like. Please let me know of you'd like to test and review a free sample... I only ask that (1) you pay for postage and (2) you have some knowledge of rubbers to be able to review this rubber, so that the review can help others.

Although I have not had a good hit with this rubber to review it properly, I've had a brief with with it, and found it to be very spinny (on loops), medium-high throw, good speed (faster than most CHinese made rubbers, probably similar to something like Mark V.

Haggisv,

Can I test one??

I tested both SR 33° and SN 37° in 2mm and these rubbers are really good. For those who like euro rubbers they are good alternatives to tensor rubbers (price here in Europe for 1 sheet is 27€).
A friend of mine (ranked 400 player in the french ranking) test the SR in 37 and was very pleased with it. He says it is almost as fast as a Tenergy 05. It is more for a mid distance game, and he was really impressed with the dwell time which is really high. If it were a bit faster and harder, he would certainly switch to Scirocco.

I would also like to test it for you, who wouldn't?
if the sponge is firm and topsheet is grippy, it sounds like my kind of rubber.

I only have a few sheets of SF so I'll have to prioritise, but I do also have some sheets of SN that I'd be happy to pass around as well. Has anyone testing this already to see what it's like? I also have some sheets on Air Illumina

I'd really love to try it, but I'm not positive that I have enough experience to review properly.

I like to test any new rubbers, red and bh rubbers in particular. What's the difference between SF and SN?

Well the SN is also called the 'speed version' by some others (Cole for those that know him) whereas the SR was called the Power and Control, the SF is called 'spin'. The SR had the larger pip structure underneath the topsheet. This is his description:
"The highest quality inverted I've ever sold. Heavy glue feel. Good speed. Topsheet looks fantastic. Not sticky but very grippy. There are three kinds: SN is Speed; SR is power and control; SF is spin. Red in 2.2 only (both kinds). Although all are marked 41, the SN feels a bit harder than SR or SF. SF is the one by far most like se7en. "
I don't agree with 'heavy glue feel' though, I think the glue feel was very light, at least on my blade, but it may have more glue feel on other blades. His retail price is USD$25

How much faster is the SN version compared to the SF? Is it a big step, or a small step like going from Sriver EL to Sriver L?
If it's not a speed demon I don't mind to test it. As long as the balance with spin/speed is still there I can play with it. If that balance is gone and the rubber is more for hitters than someone else should give it a go. :)

and what is Air Illumina for a rubber? Inverted or pips or something completely new?

I think "air" is another new brand attempt from the owners of "se7en". se7en in my opinion was produced by Dawei, and so is air. That's just my guess though. se7en sheets I tried were like improved Inspirit Quattro UL sheets. Packaging, molds, sponges were very very similiar. And probably, just like Inspirit Quattro UL, air scirocco will play much better after a couple of sessions. So called break-in.

I can confirm that Air is launched by the owners of Se7en but have no idea if that would be Dawei, but it could very well be the case.

I didn't mean Se7en's owner is Dawei. Just like ESN producing rubber for any brand, Dawei produced the rubbers for "air".
