A friend (cheers tuffix!) lent me his JUIC air texa blade to try so that I could write a little review.

JUIC Air Texa + 2 x 728 lightening 2.0mm

This is a thick balsa blade rated OFF+, with a real soft feel. I has great touch in close, and good power when you start hitting harder. It's ideal for a close to mid-distance power looper/blocker, but performs well in most other aspects of the game. Only when you're well away from the table it lacks some power.

These thick balsa blades really do have a nice feel, and are definitely an option if you wish to stop gluing/tuning. They are light but can produce good power with little effort, and blocking is a breeze. They are a little fragile though, so edge tape the edges, and take care not to hit the table..

Nice review Haggisv and some great pics too. Do you have any knowledge of the LKT Lord of Speed blade as I'm not sure of its actual wood make up. The way you described this blade reminds me a little of how that blade feels, although I think the Texa would have a more pronounced power boost with such thick balsa.

It will be quite different to this blade, the balsa in the air texa is MUCH softer, you can just push it in with your finger tips, and of course it's much thicker... making the feel a lot softer and the kick much more.
